GardeningStepney City Farm in London’s East End is a working farm, Rural Arts Centre and community meeting place. We give children and adults a chance to meet farm animals, learn how to grow food and try out arts and crafts. Find out more.

Saturday 23rd August

  • Farm open to public 9.30am-4pm
  • Cafe open 10am-4pm
  • Weekly farmers market selling fresh local produce. 10am-3pm
  • Way of Wellness course 10am-12noon Everyone welcome
  • Intro to Blacksmithing course,10am-4pm £120 per person

Sunday 24th August

  • Farm open to public 9.30am-4pm
  • Cafe open 10am-4pm
  • Young open volunteers 10am -1pm or 2-5pm Anyone welcome
  • Wheat Fest. Everyone welcome to join us. We will harvest the wheat grown by Osmani and Ben Jonson schools, making two beautiful Stepney Wheat sheafs, and comparing the growths of the two heritage varieties. We will also be celebrating the world of bread with a stall from the Better Health Bakery and a workshop on making corn dollies with the amazing environmental artist Anne Marie Culhane.

  • Farm Club: 1-4pm, 8-11 year olds, 1-4pm. These workshops give kids hands on experience of farm life, opportunities to learn about our plants and animals and have fun playing in the great outdoors. To book a place for your child email youth@stepneycityfarm.org. all welcome

Coming up

Wild & Refined: a Stepney City Farm Pop-up
Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September
Bringing 15 years of cooking experience to our café kitchen, Yorkshire native Neil Bentinck will be concocting a truly unique menu using the freshest seasonal produce from the farm. You’ll be treated to a welcome drink, posh snacks, amuse-bouche, six delicious courses followed by sweet treats. The food will be exquisite fine dining, the setting humble but loveable. A perfect match. Drinks will be available to buy on the night. Tickets are limited to just 25 people a night, so book now to avoid disappointment. Tickets: £40. Book now here

Crafty Saturday

Make your own scrapbook to fill with dreams, stories, adventures…and imagination! All materials will be provided but do bring some favourite photos, maps, images, paper scraps with you to personalise your book if you like. More details on our website.
