Growing Trainees (Voluntary)

Stepney City Farm is recruiting 4 Volunteer Growing Trainees for a 6 month traineeship.  Trainees will work one day a week, learning all aspects of running an Urban Market garden and Plant nursery within a City Farm.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who are keen to learn about growing food in a sustainable way, and who enjoy working outdoors and with other people.

We can also offer opportunities to focus on the following areas: Bangladeshi Vegetables, Environmental Education, Green Care, Working with Outlets/Growing to sell, Plant sales.

The role is one day a week 10am-4pm, with an additional evening tutorial every 6 weeks.

Young Volunteers sessional worker (voluntary role)

Are you passionate about animals, plants, food and farming? Do you enjoy working with young people?

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can help to run a weekly volunteering session for 12-18yr olds on Sunday afternoons from 12.30-4.30pm. You don’t have to come every week but we ask for a minimum commitment of 1 session a month.

We are currently seeking new Trustees, from Human Resources and Company Secretary backgrounds, to join our board and to help us meet our responsibilities in terms of governance and strategic direction for the Farm.
