The evidence is in! Being active in nature is good for you.
If you want to feel better inside by getting outside, the Green Care
Taster Sessions are an opportunity to improve your mental health and
wellbeing whilst doing fun activities, exploring some of the most
beautiful natural spaces in Tower Hamlets and meet supportive people along
The new Tower Hamlets Green Care Partnership brings together four
exceptional community run green spaces that have shaped local lives for
over 30 years, namely our three wonderful city farms Mudchute,Spitalfields
and Stepney and London’s most urban woodland at the TH Cemetery Park.
The sessions we are running at Stepney are as follows:
Monday 7th November 2-4pm : Care for small animals Learning about how to care for and understand the needs of guinea pigs
Monday 14th November 2-4pm: Garlic Power Planting garlic bulbs and making herbal remedies to boost the immune system
Monday 21st November 2-4pm: Small animal health checks Learning how to check a rabbit’s health, and treat any minor issues
Monday 28th November 2-4pm: Preparing the garden for the winter Getting the garden ready for the turning of the seasons by pruning & seed saving.

We also welcome health care providers to come and learn more about this
type of work.
The Partnership is coordinated by the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN)
