Corporate Volunteering

Our corporate volunteer days get people out of the office for fun and meaningful activities to develop team work, problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical tasks encourage motivation, boost staff morale and give a huge sense of achievement. Participants also get to burn calories, enhance wellbeing and know they’re contributing to an important community resource.

‘Thoroughly enjoyable day despite the weather, can’t wait to come back with my kids during the holidays’

Join our many partner organisations who provide people and funds to allow us to keep the Farm doors open for free for the local community.

Our unique team-building days suit organisations of all sizes to help deliver your corporate social responsibility needs. We focus on urgent, seasonal tasks and projects.

‘Good to get out of the office and bond with the team’

Projects

Because we appreciate the time and enthusiasm that your staff and colleagues bring, we keep our costs down to the minimum necessary for vital staff supervision, administration and overheads, health and safety requirements and any materials needed for the project you choose.

To find out about available projects, please contact Ana, the Farm’s Corporate Relations Officer at ana@stepneycityfarm.org.

Timetable for the day:

09:00 – Arrive, tea and coffee
10:00 – Farm tour, introduction, and health and safety brief
10:30 – Start tasks
11:30 – Coffee break
13:00 – Lunch break
14:00 – Resume tasks (volunteers can swap tasks at this point)
15:45 – Pack up tools and equipment
16:00 – Debrief and evaluation of the day

Catering can also be arranged by our award-winning Café. Stepney City Farm Café cooks simple fresh food from both the Farm and local producers, to provide nourishing meals for your hungry volunteers. The Café was recently voted ‘Best Eatery’ at the Urban Food Awards and is runner-up for ‘Best Restaurant’ in East London.

Donations

We are currently trying to improve the accessibility of the farm to wheelchairs and pushchairs and expand our composting so we can process all of the food waste from our cafe and farm shop. If you would like to contribute to either of these, please contact katharine@stepneycityfarm.org or donate using the button below. You can also buy us a present!
