Veg boxes are back!

Veg boxes will be available to purchase from the Farm in the last week of
June, all the way until October! Thank you for your patience and many
inquiries. We are excited to get back up and running and to meet you all in
person.

Our boxes have five different items of produce that are all grown on
Stepney City Farm. Everything we grow on the Farm is grown by hand,
without the use of any synthetic pesticides or sprays. The produce will
change with the seasons but each week you can expect to receive a bunch
of herbs such as sage, mint or oregano. Summer will bring us: courgettes,
purple garlic, tomatoes, basil and cucumbers and in the autumn, we will
have cauliflower, late summer tomatoes, leeks, bulb fennel, figs, radishes
and our Stepney salad mix.

You can pre-order boxes on our online shop, and they will be available for
collection on Thursdays 12pm-3pm and Saturdays 12pm-3pm. Just select
your day and order by 5pm the night before, and your freshly harvested
box will be ready to collect on the day from the large fridge in the volunteer
room next to the office.

Like everyone else we have been hit by the rising price of everything, most
notably the cost of seeds, and the overheads of running our 4.5 acre site, have gone up significantly.

This year, in order to keep the veg box production sustainable we have raised the
price of the boxes to £8. All proceeds go back into our gardening
programmes supporting our open volunteers, trainees and community
groups that visit us weekly.
